Elephant Hawkmoth Caterpillars

Elephant Hawkmoth caterpillars are showing well around the village this week with multiple reports - including several together and a nice one found by children at the school. Check out your Fuschias and willow herb as favoured plants for the caterpillars which are turning brown and becoming more conspicuous as they make their last push before overwintering as a pupae in the soil. We can look forward to lots more of the beautiful pink and blue adults early next summer!
